Jim Petty is the man behind Etched in Stone. Jim has been a water color artist most of his life; showing in galleries and art competitions across the country. His watercolor work has been published in the Art Book Splash II and XI and he has won several honors and contests along the way.
Jim also worked with a concrete company in Denver for seven years selling the services and learning all about concrete in it's many forms and uses.
With his knowledge about concrete and talents in art, he decided to put both to good use and started "Etched in Stone" in 2008, concentrating mostly on the best way to enhance raw concrete. Since then, he has discovered many other uses and applications for decorative concrete and developed his own style for creating these services.
Due to the necessity for warmer weather in order to apply the outdoor concrete enhancements, Jim and his wife who is also a professional artist, live most of the year in Tucson, AZ and live in Denver during the summer months of mid June through September.
Jim markets his business through a handful of great Farmer's Markets in Green Valley: La Posada on Mondays and Green Valley Farmer's Market on Wednesdays and in Oro Valley on Fridays across from Saddle Brook community on Catalina Hwy.
